Quickly becoming a best seller at Lore, Cherry Punk is an ode to, well, punk! This fragrance started with Dr Mike wanting to create a fragrance that evoked the punk spirit. He wanted to work with a fruit, and feeling the inspo from one of his friends who had a cherry tattoo on her neck, he decided to explore cherry as a hero note.
Cherry Punk is very much inspired by the specific moment in English history when Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren were taking over the world - fashionably and with musical influences. Their iconic shop in London, Sex, was the place to go if you were a punk. Red tartan, latex, leather, mohawks, distressed denim; breaking free of societal norms in loud and rebellious style.
Dr Mike wanted a fragrance that was black and red in colour, pretty and powerfully punk at the same time. Full of the energy of a youth riot, Cherry Punk perfectly resembles this ideal. The fragrance is a push and pull of interesting contrasts that work impeccably together. The sweetness of cherry next to the smoky spice of saffron and sichuan pepper. The innocence of violet paired with dirty leather. A smudge of red lipstick, a rip in your fishnets, and a big, loud punk song playing on repeat.
